Grating selection information.

Information required for the bar grating selection:

- distance between load bearing bars;

- expected loads.

The aforesaid data define operational parameters of a bearing bar (height and thickness).

The length of the grating bearing area shall be no less than the height of the bearing bar.

Please see Figures 1 – 5 for recommended gaps that should be left in grating design or mounting, between the grating and the profile edge, or site columns, or piping, or walling of the workshop. Please see Fig. 6 for the recommended installation gaps between the bars. The bar distancing should be set to zero at the stage of design. Please keep in mind: the manufacturing tolerances for grating are negative.
