Stainless steel grating (corrosion resistant) steel is an assembly unit, which is a design, consisting of interconnected bearing strips with cover strips (pressed stainless steel decking) or connecting rods (welded stainless steel deck) and framing, welded along the contour of the grate. The load-bearing strips of the grating support the working loads and transfer them or distribute them to the supporting elements of the structures, on which the flooring is installed. Grating cover strips or tie rods connect the load-bearing strips together, increasing the rigidity of the entire deck and the resistance of the section of the bearing strip to torsional moment, they provide flatness to the grating. Framing in the form of strips or profiles of various cross-sectional shapes defines a clear contour of the grating, ensuring minimal deviations from the specified geometry of the grating. All carrier strips, like integumentary covers, in the grating have the same cross-sectional dimensions, load-bearing large, integumentary smaller, and are installed relative to each other with a certain step, conditioned by production technology, applied loads and consumer requirements (customer). The framing of the flooring is made equal to the load-bearing strips or, at the customer’s request, is installed with large cross-sectional dimensions and various height deviations up or down, but not less than half the height of the carrier strip. The frame of the grating on its different sides, if necessary, can have different geometries in size and shape.
When operating gratings in areas with high humidity or increased exposure to chemically aggressive environments, medium-sized materials are used for its production.- and highly alloyed (stainless steel) become, manufactured according to GOST 5632–72, or their analogues. The most commonly used steel grades are: 08X18H10; 12X18H10; 08Х18Н10Т; AISI 304; AISI 321.
